The number of movers should be confirmed against the items and access. Do not assume every van comes with a two-person team. Tell us about items that need more than one person to handle and whether you require all lifting to be provided.

Ask for the handling support you need when requesting the quote. The booking should say what loading and unloading is included. You should not plan to lift heavy furniture yourself unless that arrangement has been discussed and is appropriate for the job.

Tell us the floor, stair layout and intended room before booking. Share measurements or photographs of tight turns and landings. Room placement is subject to the agreed handling service and safe access; it should not be assumed from a simple transport quotation.

Yes, tell us what you are taking, what is staying and the collection deadline. A move-out may involve only your personal belongings or a larger furniture load. If unwanted items also need clearance, list those separately so their disposal is assessed correctly.
